Josh Walker, owner of J T Walker Solar and Electrical, grew up in the beautiful town of Gloucester on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. He began his electrical career in 2017, following in his father’s footsteps to become an electrician. Josh started his apprenticeship with an industrial manufacturing company in Gloucester but later decided to make a change, moving to Taree to be closer to his partner, Elley, and gain more experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
A few years after making the move, Josh decided to start his own business to provide affordable and reliable electrical services across the Mid North Coast. Since launching on 26 September 2022, he has grown rapidly and now employs three tradesmen, Ben, Tom and Adam as well as two apprentices, Laine and Corey.
While the work continues, so do his studies. Josh has completed his Thermography, Solar and Solar Batteries accreditations as well as currently gaining his Level 2 ASP accreditation. Whenever he can, he will continue to expand his skills to meet his customers’ needs.

Josh
Owner/Electrician
Josh began his electrical career back in 2017. After finishing his apprenticeship, he went on to further his studies and is now Solar and Level 1 Thermography accredited. He hopes that he will continue his studies so he can grow and provide as many services that his customers need.
When he’s not working, you’ll find him going out enjoying the fresh air and the amazing views of the Manning Valley with his wife, Elley, and son, Oliver.
Liam
Electrician
Liam joined the team in April 2023 to widen his electrical skills. He has proven himself to be a big asset to the team, being able to work to an extremely high standard. Liam finished his apprenticeship in 2023 and hopes to continue his studies soon and gain his solar and battery accreditations.
On the weekend, Liam likes travelling to see his friends and enjoying the outdoors with his dog, Pooh Bear, by either going camping, 4WDing or taking his boat out on the water.
Jett
3rd Year Apprentice
Jett has been working with Josh from the start of his apprenticeship and has shown he is a dedicated worker. After Jett completes his electrical apprenticeship, he wishes to further his studies and hopes that he will gain his Level 2 electrical license.
In his spare time, he enjoys music, photography and going diving and fishing at the beautiful beaches the Mid North Coast has to offer.
