Switching out your old incandescent, halogen and fluorescent light bulbs to LED lights offers numerous benefits. LED lights consume on average 80% less energy than incandescent lighting. They also last 5 to 10 times longer and require less maintenance so not only are you saving energy which then leads to saving money, but you are also reducing the number of light bulbs going to landfill.

Unlike AC fans, DC ceiling fans are very energy efficient. They consume up to 70% less power than AC ceiling fans. DC fans, however, can be more expensive but the extra costs involved with buying a DC ceiling fan can be saved in the long run by using less energy. DC ceiling fans are also much quieter as they use magnets to rotate the blades which is a lot quieter than an AC motor.

You should test your smoke detectors around once a month by doing a quick push button test. However, you should aim to get an electrician to do a full check over every 12 months. We will check over wiring, perform a smoke test and ensure that the smoke detector is in date and working how it should.
